BRITA - its for life

70% of our body is water. The human body loses, and therefore must replace, 2-3 litres of water each day. So to keep our bodies well-hydrated it is vital that we drink not only sufficient but also the best water possible. An adequate daily intake of water will:

  • keep your kidneys and liver functioning well
  • replace fluid loss
  • detoxify your system
  • aid in weight loss by helping your body metabolise fats.
  • prevent the dehydration of cells which causes diseases associated with aging.

You require a total of    glasses of water per day.

* An individual’s daily intake can be influenced by factors such as age, weight, medical condition, medication, physical activity and ambient temperature. It is advisable to follow or seek medical advice, especially in the case of reduced kidney function.

Your child deserves a great start

From the start of Pregnancy good water quality is vital for the development of a normal healthy baby. What you absorb into your bloodstream directly affects the foetus. Lead and pesticides absorbed from drinking water can be passed on to the unborn child.

When Breastfeeding, avoid passing on impurities by ensuring that you drink filtered water. If baby is bottle-fed use filtered water (after boiling) to prepare infant formula.

Active Growing Children need to keep well-hydrated and build healthy bodies.Make BRITA WATER their DRINK for LIFE

BRITA leaves the fluoride in*

Brita Water Filters have been officially recognised as contributing to the fight against the rising problem of tooth decay in Australia by the Australian Dental Association Inc.

The Australian Dental Association (ADA) recommends the use of Brita Water Filters insofar as they do not remove fluoride from tap water*.

In recognising Brita’s technology which is able to retain fluoride in the tap water, while filtering out impurities, Mr Robert Boyd-Boland, Chief Executive of the ADA said, “Tooth decay is on the rise particularly with children who for their regular fluid intake are turning to bottled water, flavoured water and sports drinks which do not contain fluoride.  Fluoridated tap water is widely recognised as the best possible solution to reducing tooth decay.”

While many people are aware of what Brita filters take out, they do not realize that they retain the fluoride.  The ADA recognition now gives the public total confidence that when they drink tap water filtered by Brita, they are doing themselves a great service in dental decay prevention.

* In some areas of Australia, tap water does not contain fluoride.
