Brita is among the best filter systems I have found, as it reduces the vast majority of substances. I am concerned about atrazine, lead, chlorine and its by-products, asbestos and also cryptosporidium. Many other systems only reduce a few things of these at best. My reasons for buying a BRITA Filter Jug were (a) the taste of our tap water, which has become almost undrinkable (b) from a health concern, because I have recently adopted a “2 litres a day” regiment. Taste – critically important when drinking water as a “discipline” and without the imperative of thirst – as well as the cost of bottled water were further reasons. I was encouraged to buy BRITA by the attractive ( and informative) packaging – not least by your 30-day guarantee. But my main reason was a lifelong reluctance to “economise” on a personal health-related product. Your recommended “tea test” was quite persuasive – conclusion visual demonstration that the BRITA effectively removes impurities as claimed. After drinking both cups of tea and appreciating the difference in clarity and taste, I noted the mug that had contained tap water was discoloured. The filtered water mug was left perfectly clean after drinking. One valuable product benefit not specifically covered on your card Is that the taste of Scotch is greatly enhanced by refrigerated filtered water. Your literature expresses thanks to me for buying BRITA. I rather feel the thanks are due to yourselves for making this product available.
