MAXTRA filters fit BRITA jugs easily! Just insert the cartridge into the funnel and press it down until you hear a slight "click".

A ring pull handle on top of MAXTRA makes the exchange process easier for you. MAXTRA cartridges do not require pre-soaking.  To initialise the cartridge, you simply need to filter two funnel-fills of water and then discard.  Then rinse the funnel.  The cartridge is now ready for use.
