Do  the Brita systems have any certificates of approval?

The Brita Water Filter systems and filter cartridges have been approved by a number of internationally renowned organisations: the jug filter cartridge have been approved as food grade quality by the Institute Fresenius (Germany) and been tested by independent Australian laboratories; the On Tap system and filter cartridge have been certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) International  as compliant with water filtration standards No. 53 (Health Effects) and No. 42 (Aesthetic Effects) and Quality Assurance Services (Australia) as compliant with water filtration standards AS/NZS 3497 and 4348 (Certificate No. 8651).

Should I use BRITA filtered water to wash my hair?

BRITA water is ideal for hair care since it reduces the temporary hardness in the water that affect the soap lathering. The result is hair with better volume and a silky shine.

 

My dogs will not drink water freshly drawn from the tap, will a BRITA water filter help?

Like many animals dogs have a well developed sense of smell and the chlorine in the water smells horrible to them, this is why they would rather leave the water for a while until the chlorine evaporates. Your pets will love filtered water since nearly all of the chlorine is removed.

Can I use filtered water for tropical fish?

Due to the sensitivity of many tropical fish to even the smallest changes in water quality or conditions, such as temperature and pH, as BRITA advises consumers not to use filtered water for tropical fish without consulting a specialist.

Can I use Brita Water for preparing my baby's formula and bottles?

Yes ... all of the benefits that are so good for you are also good for your baby but always follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully when preparing your baby's formula and bottles. The water may be filtered and then boiled, and the fomula/food thereafter prepared in the usual, recommended manner.
