What will make You Happy and Healthy in 2011?

Here’s wishing you all a very happy and healthy New Year!

Indeed, many resolutions are made at this time, but unfortunately many are broken simply because of unrealistic expectations and obsessive concentration on only one aspect of Life.

In fact, there are many different parts of your life that need your attention…by not putting all your eggs in one basket, you have a much greater chance of keeping true to yourself.

So spend some quality time thinking about the following questions. You might even like to draw a Wellness Wheel of sorts to help you to visually prioritise which areas you realise you may need to focus on more than others.

Remember not to obsess: The important thing is to have fun whilst you are rediscovering and reinventing your Self.
•    Let’s start with exercise.  What type of exercise will not only make you healthy, but you will enjoy and commit to?
•    What is a realistic approach to eating, a plan that supplies the fundamentals of good quality protein, fruit and vegetables, but is not overly obsessive, retaining the pleasures of good food?
•    How are you going to relax and relieve any stress you experience?
•    What passion and pleasure activities are you going to pursue?
•    What do you wish to create in 2011?
•    What are your work and finance goals, but more importantly, how are you going to keep them in balance?
•    How are you going to develop yourself in order to become a happy healthier person?
•    How can you improve your relationships with your children, partner, extended family and friends?
•    Are there any social activities or causes to which you wish to commit?
•    Do you have any spiritual needs that you wish to fulfil?
•    Lastly, but very importantly, how are you going to reward yourself for fulfilling your New Year’s resolutions?

Best wishes for your Health and Happiness in 2011!
